You begin where Krishna was born — inside a prison cell in Mathura, in the middle of the night, in the middle of a miracle. You stand in that room and feel its smallness - and understand that this is exactly the point. You walk through Vrindavan where every temple bell you hear is still ringing for that same child. Then Varanasi, where the Ganga has been receiving pilgrims for four thousand years and asks nothing in return except that you show up. At Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj, you will see the green Yamuna and grey-blue Ganga run side by side before quietly becoming one. And finally Ayodhya - where you walk into Ram Mandir and understand, in your bones, what a thousand years of faith looks like when it finally comes home.
We have taken families on this yatra many times. Every time, the journey does something to the people on it. We cannot tell you in advance exactly what — but we have never had a family return unchanged.

Cool weather across all cities. The most comfortable time for temple walking and ghat visits. December–January are peak pilgrimage months — book early.
PLAN AHEAD - HOLI WEEK, MATHURA & VRINDAVAN
Holi here draws lakhs of visitors - temples get extremely crowded. Come two weeks before or after if you want a calmer experience.
WORTH KNOWING - KARTIK MONTH, VARANASI
Kartik is the most auspicious month in Varanasi and very crowded. Spiritually powerful - but book well in advance and be prepared for large gatherings at the ghats.
PLAN AHEAD - RAM NAVAMI, AYODHYA
After the new temple consecration, Ram Navami in Ayodhya draws enormous crowds. Darshan queues can run several hours. TTI will guide you on timing if you travel during this period.

Leave Delhi in the morning and drive to Mathura — the city where everything began. Visit Krishna Janmabhoomi, Dwarkadhish Temple and the other important shrines. The lanes here are narrow, the bells never stop, and the town moves at the pace of devotion. By evening you are settled in Mathura and the yatra has properly begun.
TTI Insider: The sanctum at Krishna Janmabhoomi - built directly over the birth cell - is small and the crowd moves fast. Don't let it push you through. Stand still for one full minute in that room. Most people rush past without realising what they are standing in. That one minute is the whole point of coming here.
Vrindavan temple walks · Evening drive to Agra · Night halt before train
Vrindavan is where Krishna grew up - and every temple here carries a different story from that childhood. Visit Banke Bihari, ISKCON, Prem Mandir, Radha Raman and the other important shrines. By evening, drive to Agra for your overnight stay before the morning train.
TTI Insider: At Banke Bihari, the priests briefly close the curtain before the deity - a tradition unique to this temple, to protect devotees from the full intensity of the divine gaze. When the curtain opens again, even for a moment, watch the faces of the people around you. That reaction tells you everything about this place.
Why Agra? This is a purely spiritual itinerary - no Taj Mahal visit. Agra is simply an overnight halt because the best direct train to Varanasi from this corridor departs from Agra. If you'd like to add Agra sightseeing, TTI can build that in as an extension.

Up before dawn for a boat ride past the main ghats as Varanasi slowly wakes. Then Kashi Vishwanath - one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. Afternoon at Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple and Tulsi Manas Mandir. Varanasi is not a city you see - it is a city you absorb. Give it the full day it deserves.
TTI Insider: As your boat passes Manikarnika Ghat you will see the cremation fires. Do not look away. Triveni Sangam boat ride · Drive to Ayodhya
Drive to Prayagraj for a boat ride at Triveni Sangam - where Ganga, Yamuna and the invisible Saraswati meet. Take a ritual dip if you wish; the priests at the ghat will guide you through the vidhi. Then drive to Ayodhya, arriving by evening. You will feel the city's energy before you even reach the temple.
TTI Insider: From the Sangam boat, ask your boatman to bring you right to the confluence line — you can see the green Yamuna and grey-blue Ganga running side by side before merging. That visible boundary between two sacred rivers, right beneath your boat, is one of the most quietly extraordinary moments on this entire yatra.
Hanuman Garhi · Ram Mandir darshan · Kanak Bhawan · Ram Ki Paidi
Begin at Hanuman Garhi - every Ayodhya devotee visits Hanuman before Ram. Then Ram Mandir darshan at the birthplace of Lord Ram. Visit Kanak Bhawan where Ram and Sita are enshrined in gold, and end the day at Ram Ki Paidi ghat on the Saryu.
Ayodhya today holds ancient faith and brand-new devotion in the same breath - you will feel both.

One consistent truth - arriving before 8am gives you a calmer darshan, shorter queue, and the morning light inside the temple complex is softer and more beautiful. Saryu ghat morning walk · Onward journey by train or flight
A quiet final morning. Many pilgrims take one last walk to the Saryu ghat at dawn - the city is at its most peaceful at that hour. Then depart by train or fly from Ayodhya airport. TTI assists with your onward bookings. The yatra ends here. What it placed in you does not.

No Taj Mahal on this tour. Agra is purely a night halt — the best direct train connection from the Mathura-Vrindavan corridor to Varanasi runs from Agra, not Mathura. The overnight stop there makes the morning departure comfortable. If you want to add Agra sightseeing, we can build a separate extension.
