Travel Itinerary
1 - Arrive Chennai
On arrival at Chennai airport get transfer to your hotel.
After fresh n up visit famous Fort St. George which was built by the British East India company in 1640. Next, visit the famous Santhome Church where the Basilica was built over the tomb of St.Thomas. The structure is a rectangle built with brick and polished lime. The curved roof makes the structure unique and different. Also visit the Kapaleeswarar Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Overnight stay in Chennai
2 - Chennai – Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram
After breakfast drive to Mahabalipuram. Enroute have blessings at Kanchi Kailasanathar temple which was built in 7th century AD by a Pallava king named Rajasimha known as Narasimhavarman II in Kanchipuram.
Carry on your drive to Mahabalipuram to witness the incredible 7th-century rock-hewn monument “the Shore temple”. You will also visit “Five Rathas”, which exhibits a group of monolithic rock temples, in Dravidian-style architecture. Night stay is in Mahabalipuram
3 - Mahabalipuram – Pondicherry
Move to Pondicherry which has a long history dating back 2000 years when it was an important Roman trading post. Francois Martin, a Frenchman, established the modern city of Pondicherry between 1673 and 1680 and established their supremacy in this area by waging several battles against the Dutch, the English and the Caranatic Nawabs.
Places of interest include the Sree Aurobindo Ashram, Auroville, The French Institute and the Raj Nivas. Overnight stay.
4 - Pondicherry – Tanjore
In the morning after breakfast and check-out from the hotel, visit Matri temple, and Aurobindo Ashram. Later, we will drive you towards the Tanjore. On arrival and check-in, leisure for the day and overnight stay in the hotel followed by a palatable dinner.
5 - Tanjore – Madurai
Morning check-out and then visit the Brahadeeswarar Temple a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This impressive building was built by King Raja Raja Cholan a thousand years back. Afterwards we drive to Madurai. On arrival visit the Gandhi Museum and join the evening prayer at the famous Meenakshi Temple.
6 - Madurai – Rameshwaram – Madurai
Morning visit Meenakshi Temple, built in the 16th century devoted to Goddess Parvati or Meenakshi, and her husband Lord Shiva. This temple has regal stonewalls, a hall with a thousand pillars displaying Dravidian architecture, musical pillars and twelve huge towers called ‘Gopurams’.
Drive to Rameshwaram and have blessings at the ancient Ramanathaswamy Temple devoted to Lord Shiva, Agnitheertham, five-faced Hanuman Temple, and Dhanushkodi. Drive back to Madurai for overnight stay.
7 - Madurai – Kanyakumari
Today the driver will take you to Kanyakumari. The stopover for the day is Kanyakumari temple, Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Suchindrum Padmanabhapuram Palace and Thiruvalluvar statue. Enjoy the panoramic sunset view. Later, enjoy tempting dinner and overnight stay in the hotel.
8 - Kanyakumari – Kovalam
Early in the morning visit the sunrise. Later, after having a relish breakfast and checkout proceed towards the Kovalam. On arrival check-in to the hotel, leisure the evening on the beach for your own activities. Overnight in the hotel with dinner.
9 - Kovalam
In the morning after breakfast, relax at the beach. Later, we will drop you back to the hotel for night stay followed by a delicious dinner.
10 - Kovalam – Alleppey
Today drive to Kerala backwaters to board a houseboat, where you shall cruise along this very intricate network of canals, lakes, lagoons and rivers called the "Venice of the East." Monitor Kerala's rural lifestyle as you glide past tiny villages sprinkled with rice fields and witness a way of life that has changed little through the ages. With women washing clothes on the river banks while children play in the shallows and kingfishers dart among the palm trees. Overnight at Houseboat.
11 - Alleppey – Cochin
Morning after breakfast drive to Cochin. Later, proceed for the Cochin City Tour. Initiates with the visit of Francis Church, Santa Cruz Basilica, Jewish Synagogue, Mattancherry Palace and the Chinese fishing nets. Later enjoy the evening by watching the magnificent Kathakali performance. Overnight stay.
12 - Cochin – Ooty
In the morning after breakfast drive to Ooty. En route Enjoy Toy train rides if operational. On arrival check in to the Hotel, evening free for your own enjoyment. Overnight at Hotel with dinner.
13 - Ooty
Morning after breakfast, proceed for the full day Ooty tour starts with the visit of Tea Factory, Tea Garden and Doddabetta Peak. Later enjoy boat ride at Ooty lake. In the evening do some shopping for your loved ones. Enjoy a night stay in the hotel with dinner.
14 - Ooty – Mysore
After having a breakfast and check out, drive to Mysore En-route excursion to Bandipur wildlife. On arrival to Mysore, check into the Hotel, after fresh up visit Mysore Palace and Brindavan Garden. Finally, our chauffeur will drop you to the hotel for the overnight stay followed by a mouth-watering dinner.
15 - Mysore – Bangalore Depart
