Travel Itinerary
1 - Arrive Chennai
On arrival at Chennai airport get transfer to your hotel.
After fresh n up visit famous Fort St. George which was built by the British East India company in 1640. Next, have a short drive to visit the famous Santhome Church where the Basilica was built over the tomb of St.Thomas. The structure is a rectangle built with brick and polished lime. The curved roof makes the structure unique and different. Also visit the Kapaleeswarar Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.

2 - Chennai – Kanchipuram - Mahbalipuram
After breakfast drive to Mahabalipuram. Enroute have blessings at Kanchi Kailasanathar temple which was built in 7th century AD by a Pallava king named Rajasimha known as Narasimhavarman II in Kanchipuram.
Carry on your drive to Mahabalipuram to witness the incredible 7th-century rock-hewn monument “the Shore temple”. You will also visit “Five Rathas”, which exhibits a group of monolithic rock temples, in Dravidian-style architecture. Night stay is in Mahabalipuram
3 - Mahabalipuram – Pondicherry
Move to Pondicherry which has a long history dating back 2000 years when it was an important Roman trading post. Francois Martin, a Frenchman, established the modern city of Pondicherry between 1673 and 1680 and established their supremacy in this area by waging several battles against the Dutch, the English and the Caranatic Nawabs.
Places of interest include the Sree Aurobindo Ashram, Auroville, The French Institute and the Raj Nivas. Overnight stay.
4 - Pondicherry – Tanjore
Today you will drive to visit Tanjore and explore the incredible Maratha Palace in a maze-like complex. Walk through the courtyard Art Gallery that showcases an invaluable assortment of stunning stone carvings, and Chola bronzes. Afterwards spend your day at your own leisure in Thanjavur.
5 - Tanjore – Trichy – Madurai
Today visit the famous Lord Brihadeeswarar Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This impressive building was built by King Raja Raja Cholan a thousand years back. This monument is considered among the splendid architectural accomplishments of South India.
Next, continue to Trichy and visit Amma Mandapam, a religious bathing Ghat located on the shores of the Kaveri River. After getting blessings visit the highly sacred Ranganathaswamy Temple.
Drive to Madurai and join the evening prayer at the famous Meenakshi Temple.
6 - Madurai Sightseeing – Rameshwaram - Madurai
Morning visit Meenakshi Temple, a mighty temple complex built in the 16th century devoted to Goddess Parvati or Meenakshi, and her husband Lord Shiva. This temple has regal stonewalls, a hall with a thousand pillars displaying Dravidian architecture, musical pillars and twelve huge towers called ‘Gopurams’.
Drive to Rameshwaram and have blessings at the ancient Ramanathaswamy Temple devoted to Lord Shiva, Agnitheertham, five-faced Hanuman Temple, and Dhanushkodi. Drive back to Madurai for overnight stay.
7 - Madurai – Thekkady
Drive to Periyar National Park, hanging high in the Cardamom Hills, the best-known wildlife sanctuary in South India, home to elephants, antelope, deer and many species of birdlife.
Optionally wander through one of the area's spice plantations. You'll hear about the many different ways to use these spices in both medicines and in the preparation of food. In the evening join the Kalaripayattu Martial Art Show to see various martial art forms such as karate, judo, kung-fu, and judo. Overnight Stay.
8 - Thekkady – Kovalam

Kovalam is an internationally renowned beach with three adjacent crescent beaches. It has been a favourite haunt of tourists since the 1930s.
