2 - Arrive Delhi

Meeting and assistance on arrival at the airport, our representatives welcome and escort you by a private car and transfer to the hotel, whilst the room keys and check-in is organized, our representative would hand over the documents and brief the tour programme to you. Overnight at the hotel.

Delhi City Tour

After some rest take sightseeing tour of historic city visiting Old Delhi visiting the majestic Red Fort, a marvel in red sandstone, Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India, both built by emperor Shah Jahan of Taj Mahal fame.

Later sightseeing continues to visit New Delhi include Rashtrapati Bhawan, one-time imperial residence of the British viceroys; the India Gate, a memorial raised in honour of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war; Humayun’s Tomb, QutubMinar, built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty;

  • Enjoy Rickshaw ride with visit of Old Delhi.
  • Opt for live Bollywood show in the evening ( Closed on Monday’s ).

3 - Delhi – Varanasi

Morning board your train for Varanasi this morning and transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay. Situated on the banks of the massive Ganges, the holy city of Varanasi, one of the ancient in India, symbolizes much of the mythos and culture of Hinduism and has been a center for the devotion of Shiva for over 1,200 years.

Many trusts that this is the site where the divine and significant worlds collide, offering it a mystical property that is heightened by the countless thousands of believers who voyage here to bathe in the sanctified waters of the River Ganges.

In the evening join a memorable aarti ceremony on the banks of the river. The stunning ceremony comprises rituals accomplished by numerous priests, to the sound of bells, drums, cymbals, and Sanskrit mantras. Your opinion on Hinduism and the worship of the River Ganges will be much richer after the ritual and it is not to be ignored.

  • In the evening see Ganga Aarti, very dominant and elevating spiritual ritual, the place where science and religious conviction come to an end where human sentiments and principles are supreme. A sight to behold.

4 - Varanasi – Khajuraho

A spectacular early morning boat ride along the holy Ganges past some of the numerous ghats that line the banks, involving some that are used exclusively for public cremations.

Later move to the airport for a flight to Khajuraho. This afternoon we will be visiting its amazing medieval temples, beautified with some of the sharpest sculptures in the country. Khajuraho is rightly deemed to be one of India’s most fascinating locations, home to a number of Chandela Dynasty buildings that signify some of the best temple architecture anywhere on the globe.

Packed with erotic images and masterful carvings, all of the temples are devoted to a distinctive deity, with the two most renowned being dedicated to Shiva and Vishnu.

  • Khajuraho temples built in 950 – 1050 CE, UNESCO World Heritage Site depicts nagara-style architectural symbolism and their erotic Kama Sutra poses.

5 - Khajuraho – Orchha – Agra

Go to Orchha ( Approx 4 hrs / 170 Km ), once the capital of the Bundela kings of the 16th and 17th centuries and devote time exploring some of its grandiose monuments.

The city is home to the impressive Fort Palace, which comprises the Jehangir Mahal and the magnificent religious frescoes of the Raj Mahal. From here resume to the nearby Jhansi and then by train to Agra ( Approx. 2.5 hrs / 220 Km ). Check-in to the Hotel for 2 nights.

  • Go for some breakfast at Raja Cafe for espresso coffee, English breakfasts and more in Khajuraho.
  • Watch Orchha palaces and temples near Khajuraho.

6 - In Agra

Agra was once the capital city of the mighty Mughals and much of its splendor can be credited to the foresight and supremacy of Akbar the Great and his grandson, Shan Jahan. This morning visit three of India’s most stunning buildings, the Itmad-ud-Daulah ( Baby Taj ), the impressive sandstone edifice of Agra Fort and the glorious marble splendour of the Taj Mahal, said to symbolize the era of Moghul architecture.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Agra fort is profusely blessed with astounding array of palaces and mosques, whereas the marble grandeur of the Taj Mahal needs no summary.

Constructed by Shah Jahan to honour the remembrance of his wife, Mumtaz, the Taj is one of the world’s most iconic buildings, taking over 20 years to build. We first stop over at the Taj Mahal for sunrise which is the most fairy-tale and peaceful of times to understand the legendary beauty of this honor to love. After breakfast visit the giant Agra Fort home to the magical Jahangir Palace and the tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah. Rest of the afternoon at leisure.

  • Explore Agra which is one of those oldest living cities of India where the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort illustrate the traditional culture of medieval era.
  • Visit Taj Mahal ( Closed on Friday’s ) at the time of sunrise for stunning views and is also less crowded.

7 - Agra – Jaipur

Depart Agra this morning and first drive to the abandoned sandstone city of FatehpurSikri, developed by Akbar the Great and uninhibited on the emperor’s death. After a lunch break resume your trip to Jaipur, the 18th century capital of Rajasthan ( 233 km, a full day with stops ).

This brilliant ‘Pink City’ is a varied mix of styles and influences and measured to be one of the best organized in the country, built as all around on the ideologies of Hindu architectural concept. In Jaipur stay 2 nights at the Hotel.

  • Visit Ghost Town Fatehpur Sikri near Agra.
  • Visit stunning Chand Baori step wells.
  • Opt for shopping in lively markets of Jaipur.

8 - In Jaipur

The first stop today is at the astonishing facade of the Hawa Mahal, the ‘Palace of the Winds’, erected as portion of the City Palace and aimed to allow the women of the harem to see the city lower without being seen. From here resume to Amber, for a jeep ride to the hill-top citadel of the Rajput rulers, a rich combination of Hindu and Muslim design that proffer some impressive views out across the Aravalli Hills.

This afternoon visit the splendid City Palace, now a mesmerizing museum housing some of the treasures of Jaipur’s princely past. In the evening, there is the choice ( bookable locally ) of a walking tour of Jaipur’s lively bazaar which is a haven for all manner of local artisans from jewellers to gold painters and tie dying experts.

  • Have photoshoot in front of Hawa Mahal.
  • Opt for Rajasthani Dinner with Folk Dance show in a theme restaurant of Jaipur.
  • Go for Bollywood Show in Raj Mandir Cinema.

9 - Jaipur – Tordi

Breakfast at the Hotel. Later drive Tordi. Resume on through the desert along a small road, usually easily reached via smaller vehicles. Heading southwards, we are on the way to Tordi Garh, a small isolated village where we will stopover in an old palace.

After reaching, stroll around this small area, inhabited by just 2,000 people. The locals are very friendly and the children are curious, particularly if you want to take a picture of them! The palace people will take you on a hike nearby the village across various temples, suburban areas, public areas, and the typical market.

In the evening, opt to visit the dunes to watch the sun set over the wilderness. Optionally Take a ride in a cart pulled by the ” desert horse ” and explore the rural settings of this tiny, unruffled village.

10 - Tordi – Udaipur

Drive to Udaipur. On the way visit Chittorgarh. Chittorgarh, also called Chittaur, from the 7th century to the 16th, was the capital of Mewar under the Rajputs.

Chittaur evokes memories of great heroism and sacrifice by Rajput men and women in the intermittent battles that they had to fight against invaders from Northwest or Delhi. Chittaur witnessed both the ravages of war and the triumphs of the spirit. Allaudin Khilji who coveted Queen Padmini of Chittaur, invaded the city in 1303 A.D. Queen Padmini and the women of the court sacrificed themselves in a pyre of fire rather than submit to anybody.

This supreme sacrifice has been called ‘Jauhar’ and epitomises the fiery spirit of the Rajputs of the day. The city stands strewn with monuments and battlements as evidence of the blood and gore that it went through in medieval times.

Visit Chittorgarh Fort and its palaces and museums Continue your drive to Udaipur for your overnight stay.

11 - In Udaipur

Established in the 16th century, Udaipur is placed before wonderful surroundings of lakes and hills, staging a tranquil site for the luxurious palaces of the Rajput princes.

This morning visit the impressive City Palace, a truly wealthy repository comprising many of the city’s most prized artistic treasures. Enjoy a rickshaw ride from the City Palace to Sahelionki Bari through the Old City.

12 - Udaipur – Delhi / Mumbai & Depart
