Travel Itinerary

Welcome to Mumbai — India's most energetic city which is your gateway to 12-day India food tour. Arrive, transfer to hotel, check in. Standard check-in 12:00 PM.

Explore Gateway of India, Marine Drive and Mani Bhavan. Your India food tour begins at Mumbai's street stalls — buttery Pav Bhaji, tangy Bhel Puri, Pani Puri and Seekh Kebabs from vendors working these lanes for generations. Every bite tells Mumbai's story.

Transfer to Mumbai station, board your train to Ahmedabad — India's first UNESCO World Heritage City. Arrive and transfer to hotel. Overnight Ahmedabad.

Morning heritage tour — Swaminarayan Temple to 15th-century Jama Masjid. Visit Sun Temple Modhera, Rani-ki-Vav and Adalaj Stepwell. Evening — a Gujarati thali at one of India's most authentic food experiences: mud floors, bamboo walls, leaf plates and a dhinchanyu knee-support. Simple, authentic and unforgettable.

Scenic train journey to Udaipur — Rajasthan's romantic white city on the shores of Lake Pichola. Check in and explore at leisure. The lake glows gold at sunset — walk the old city lanes before dinner.

City Palace, Sahelion-ki-Bari and Jagdish Temple. Evening — a true Indian culinary experience in a local home: chai, garlic naan, dal and eggplant curry. Guests always say the moment they taste their own dal is when India finally makes sense.

Train to Rajasthan's extraordinary Salt Lake — a rare experience unlike anywhere else in India. Watch salt harvesting, ride the toy train across gleaming white flats. At dusk flamingos dot the crystal landscape. After dark — lantern-lit stargazing over total silence. Nothing prepares you for this night.

Optional dawn village walk with chai at a local shop. Drive to Jaipur — City Palace and Hawa Mahal. Evening Jaipur street food experience — Pyaz ki Kachori, Chole Bhatura, Jalebi and Pani Puri. Rawat Misthan Bhandar's kachoris alone are worth the drive.

Dawn aarti at Govind Devji Temple — turbaned traders selling roses and marigolds in the flower market beside it. Amber Fort and the glittering Sheesh Mahal. Drive to Agra. Evening — Sadar Bazaar Food Street. Overnight Agra.

Arrive at the Taj Mahal before 6am — the white marble turns soft pink in the first light before the crowds arrive. Shah Jahan built this as an eternal tribute to his wife Mumtaz Mahal — standing here at dawn, you understand why. Later visit the mighty Agra Fort, a 16th-century Mughal masterpiece. Drive to New Delhi for overnight stay.

Metro to Chandni Chowk at 9am. Old Delhi food tour through Khari Baoli spice market — the "Achoo" moment when chili dust hits is your welcome. Jalebis, chaat and kulfi from century-old stalls. Overnight Delhi.

Leisure until transfer to airport. Your 12-day culinary journey through Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Rajasthan, Agra and Delhi ends here. Safe travels!
